Dr. Nabilaa Mohamed
Founder and Editor-in-Chief
PhD in Administrative Science | University Lecturer | Academic Writing Coach
Dr. Nabilaa is the founder and lead writer of Penerbitan Buku Pena. The idea for this platform was born from her emotional response to seeing rows of dusty theses left untouched on library shelves, a powerful reminder that so much valuable research remains unread.
One day, she stood in front of a row of forgotten theses and something clicked:
“Deretan tesis di pustaka, berdebu, tak tersentuh buatkan aku terfikir eh, idea berbuah, untuk tesis terus terutuh.”
Moved by this reality, she made it her mission to help transform these forgotten works into lasting, accessible publications.
She has years of experience as a thesis consultant, researcher, and academic coach. She is deeply passionate about helping postgraduate students and academics transform their research into impactful publications.
She has conducted official academic workshops for individuals, universities, and government bodies across Malaysia. Her book, “Step-by-Step Menukarkan Tesis Kepada Buku”, reflects her experience and deep commitment in guiding scholars to bring academic theses to life. It has also been used as a key reference in official workshops at the Institut Terjemahan dan Buku Malaysia (ITBM) / Malaysian Institute of Translation and Books.

Academic & Teaching Experience
- PhD in Administrative Science, Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM).
- University lecturer and academic writing coach, with teaching experience at UCYP University and Kolej Pengajian Tinggi Islam (KPTI) Al-Insaniah.
- Former UiTM Postgraduate Teaching Assistant (UPTA), contributing to course material development, academic events, and postgraduate workshops.
- Designed and delivered over 10 comprehensive teaching modules for subjects including Research Methodology, Environmental Philosophy, Sociology, ICT, and Psychology.
Publishing & Editorial Leadership
- Founder of Penerbitan Buku Pena (PBP), a pioneering academic publishing platform specialising in thesis-to-book transformation.
- Creator of Tesis Jadi Buku™, a registered trademark and high-demand publishing service in Malaysia.

- Recipient of multiple awards, including UiTM Postgraduate Publication Award (2022/2023 and 2023/2024), Postgraduate Innovation Award, and medals in international innovation competitions.
